So it all starts at work one day about a year ago, when we got called into a meeting and asked if we'd be interested in moving to China to help grow the company. We didn't take it particularly seriously at first as the month before they'd asked us if we wanted to move to Dubai and after ignoring the question for a while, it seemed to go away.
But it became clear that this whole China thing wasn't going away, that they seemed pretty serious about it. So we did a lot of soul searching and came back to the company and said...yes we'd do it.
And then it went away.
Or so we thought. To the extent that we decided to try to have a baby, and started the renovations to the house that we'd been toying with for awhile. Then it came back...so in the middle major house renovations, expecting a baby we were being asked to move to China.
So we did some more soul searching...and came back and said yes..but we're having a baby. And they came back and said they were ok with that. And so here we are moving most of the way across the world and having a baby, all in the Year of the Ox.
